In your pursuit of Good and worthwhile things...Peace, Kindness, Forgiveness...Don't Quit

I have to be honest. I don't watch the news on a regular basis and keep my focus more on spirituality. Yet am always striving to balance life. Anyway...here is an inspiration for today, a poem on a little plaque that belonged to my grandparents. Whatever good and worthwhile things you are striving for...Don't Quit! Everyone can relate to this at some point in their lives...maybe it's a poem someone needs today...

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with it's twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

When he/she might have won had he /shes tuck it out;

Don't give up though the pace seems slow-

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out-

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

You never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-

It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
